These functional, 2 layer coasters are made of Maple and Red Oak Plywood. These coasters have two or three coats of protective coating applied to create a water stopping surface. The coating is also heat resistant as well which lends them to being used for a trivet or "hot pad" when placing 4 coasters below a larger tray.
